Located in Marriott Library on Level 2, the Knowledge Commons is Marriott Library’s main service desk for research and technology assistance, reserving group study rooms, with printing, scanning, and software support, as well as help with configuring laptops and mobile devices. Equipment and devices are also available for checkout.
Marriott Library Faculty Librarians are available for research consultations and reference assistance in-person, by phone, online, and by appointment. Visit our Marriott Library Online One-Stop Canvas Course for information and access to library resources, services and course materials for faculty, graduate students and undergraduate students. Marriott Library librarians can assist with literature reviews, database searches, and environmental scans of discipline-based literature. Additionally, librarians provide training and support for using bibliographic and citation management tools, patent and trademark searching support, course-integrated instruction, library and discipline-based research skills, 21st century literacies including information literacy, and can assist with creating customized online learning tools.
The Office of Research Education offers a variety of classes for University of Utah students, faculty and staff related to grant-writing and other research-related topics through the Research Education (Red) program.
